Super Comp ei ole ainult redelitele, aga enamus siiski on, kuna väiksema ristlõike tõttu mõjutab tuul ja muu aero vähem.

Indeksklassid sõidavad ju throttle stopiga, ok selle seadistamine pole küll päris möödaminnes tehtav asi, aga selle olemasolust ja tööpõhimõttest teadlik olemine võtab selliste tulemuste müstikat tiba vähemaks :)

Nojah, näiteks mina ei oska muidu 6 sek aega sõitvat RED'i maha rahustada 8.900 peale. Tuleb ikka nii mõnigi testsõit teha andmebaasi jaoks ja ka siis laheb raskeks.

1) nii jõetu autoga, kui minul, pole mõtet sinna minna ... lõppkiirus (194, xx) kukkus 10 pulka alla Eestimaisest.
2) 60'' 1,65 1.69 1,71 ehk sama, kui Eestis (best 1,69 + 2x 1,72)

Hi all! Tea with Seppos Chevy II was in the Super Pro ET finals, but beacause of the delays, the finals weren't driven. Anyway, Tea took the 2. place in the SPET cahmpionship points, a good achievement in a very tough class, and without any electric assistance the champion used (delay box, electric shifter etc). Seppos other car, the familiar Nova took the cahmpionship in Pro ET, driven by Timo Heiskanen, congratulations to them too. Our race went pretty well too, I participated with my old valiant 4 D in street D just to keep my licence alive. Run only once, and got 11.9/184, the goal was to get under 12, and that was reached without much effort. The engine is a 440 put together out of leftover pats, stock "six pack" short block, .48" lift cam, Out of the box RPM heads, Team G intake and a 1050 domiantor carb. Not actually a good package, but seems to run decently even with the 3.23 gears. And the VIP, we took a little more power out of the engine this time. The goal was to get the speed over 240 km/h "chute level", and the ET in to the 8's. I felt that over 240 km/h shouldn't be much of a problem, but the 8 sec ET would be a tougher goal at this stage of development. The first run was wasted, the nose of the car hit the ground after a wheelie, but except of dropping some trim parts, there was no damage. We raised the front a little, and that helped. The second run was 8.57/257, I really had a hard time believing it. The car pulled right a little, so we adjusted a little preload to the rear, and it seemed to help. In the 32 car field, we reached the finals, running three times over 260 km/h in the eliminations, the speed was against the rew limiter and we didn't feel there is any reason to raise it at this point, remember we don't have a chute and the car weighs some and has factory brakes.... Our season is over, and I'm very happy with the car. We really hadn't tried to develope the car at all before this race, and the car responded to changes like expected. We also found a couple of things were we went "over the edge", with the current tires we can't use much more power in the launch. The engine tune up is still the same as in the first start, it's rich and there isn't a whole lot of ignition timing. The only thing we changed was raising the boost a little. The 8.41/262 was run with 1.2 bars, and on pump gas weighing 1668 kg. That's 200 kg's "overweight" for our class, and we still have a lot fo unused pwoer in the engine. Have to think now for a while what we will do during the winter, all the chassis requirement charts for cars running under 8.5 in our rule book end at 1600 kg's, so we may be forced to lighten the car a little. Hopefully it won't hurt the performance. :D

Jyrki, R U really the best pump gas specialist in the world as Partel claims. It seems as he is right, because the last results are just more than impressive. Allthough alot of boost from turbos on our tracks sounds like accident?

Nowhere near being best or even very good, It's pure luck! You can't really become very good builder without building a lot of engines, and trying different things, and to do that you should do that as a full time job and have someone else to pay for it . But I seem to have a certain feel of what works in practice, and what doesn't. For example, I have never used dyno programs or computers in choosing parts, or never used flow benches to port heads, and still they have always worked. I really have no idea why, but they have so far. But compared to people that progressively study, and learn theses things, and build some 100 engines a year, I really do not know a whole lot.

As they say - best dyno is racetrack ;)
