Motor Trend - Tuner Vehicle Shootout
Jäi selline huvitav artikkel netis silma, kus on kurjapoolsed USA autod on kokku aetud, sh Viper, GTO, GT, Mustang ja kaks Vette'i:
http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/coupe/112_0606_performance_sports_coupe_comparison/index.html

GTO Standing mile 193,1 mph. Seda autot sai juba mõnda aega tagasi netiavarustes uudistatud. Maanteemürsk!
Selline suurem modimine neelab raha küll, ka 500K EEK kulutamine pole midagi radikaalset. Korralik pidurijooks võib maksta samapalju kui mõni hobiauto ise... |

Motor Trend - Tuner Vehicle Shootout
Antud teema GTO kohta:
/müügikuulutuse link/
quote: Description
You are looking at one of the most unique GTO's in the world and is an ideal car for any GTO lover or collector. This car was custom built by Motorsport Technologies, Inc(MTI) in Houston, Texas for a Motor Trend Magazine shootout that was printed in the June 2006 issue. Motor Trend stated that "MTI's 193-mph Pontiac is the fastest street-legal GTO in history." Visit this link and click on the GTO to see it in action along with the editors comments. http://www.motortrend.com/multimedia/mtvideo/112_0606_tuner_sports_car_comparison_videos/
This car features a custom built forged 7.5L 455 cubic inch engine based on a new GM LS2 engine block. Compression ratio is 9.5:1. The cylinder heads are AFR 225cc castings modified for a turbocharged application. The turbo kit is a custom designed STS rear mounted 76mm turbo with oversized front mounted air-to-air intercooler. A custom built fuel system features an Aeromotive fuel pump & fuel rails, braided stainless fuel lines and 60 lb/hr Mototron fuel injectors. The car is also equipped with an STS methanol injection system for higher octane and additonal intercooling. The transmission is a new custom built D&D unit featuring all hardened internals and Viper ratios to achieve well in excess of 200 MPH. The rear axle ratio has been changed to a 3.07:1 from a 3.46:1. The car will run to 60 MPH in first gear. The suspension a a full Pedders GTO Track II kit. See http://www.peddersusa.com/Solution_GTO.htm for more details. The driveshaft is a custom carbon fiber unit safe for up to 10,000 rpm. The car also features a Harrop differential cover with poly urethane mount, heavy duty CV shafts and billet steel axle stubs. The Michelin 18" Pilot Sport PS2 tires were installed just prior to the magazine test and still have full tread. The wheels are a forged Complete Custom Wheel (CCW) 18" SP500 design. The upgraded brake system is a Baer GT kit utilizing Carbotech brake pads.
The drivabilty of this car is fantastic and the sound of the turbo spooling up strikes fear into high dollar exotics. It can easily be driven daily if one so desires and the current owner (Houston, TX Doctor) has witnessed 30 MPG at 65 MPH! Yes, you can have 900 HP and great economy with today's modern GM performance cars! This car has only been covered by Motor Trend magazine and other mags would jump at the opportunity to publish this car. This car is not raced by the current owner, just enjoyed as a weekend thrill ride. The factory rear wing was removed for high speed testing and comes with the car when purchased.
The interior of this car is perfect and as new. There are 2 gauges mounted into a custom pod on the dash. One is a peak and hold boost pressure gauge and the other is a wide band air/fuel ratio gauge. The transmission is equipped with a B&M short throw shifter. There is one small paint chip at the front of the hood and a small touched up scratch (about 1 inch long) in the drivers door just below the factory crease.
This is a one of a kind car and a piece of GTO history as during the Motor Trend test, we know the car exceeded 200 MPH, a first for any GTO.
This is a NO RESERVE auction. Please bid with confidence knowing I have a 100% positive feedback rating. Payment will need to be collected via WIRE TRANSFER ONLY within 7 days of auction close. Paistab et quote: The upgraded brake system is a Baer GT kit utilizing Carbotech brake pads.
on tuunija pidanud piisavaks pidurdavaks jõuks. Vaikselt vaatan ka siin võimalikku pidurikomplekti.
