M-1009 tähistab military suunitlust, eksole. Siit selline küsimus, et kas keegi K-5 omanikest, aasta on meil ´86, oskab öelda, kas sillad(laagrid, kardaaniristid jne) on samad, mis tsiviilvariandil?

14 bolt semifloater taga ning 8 poldiga rattad.
laagrid ja ristid peaks olema samad - ainuke erinevus võib
tõesti olla ülekannetes ja militaaridele pandi ka detroit lukke. |

DANA 70
Almost identical in appearance to a Dana 60, the Dana 70 is standard in heavy Dodge pickups and GM duallies. The large 10.54-inch ring gear diameter will tolerate much torque, and is suitable for diesel power and/or big tires.

Well, I was wrong, that’s what was going on! I used one of my “quick reference” sources for that story which listed 3.73:1 ratios and the 12-bolt, but when I checked further, I found that they all had 3.08s with 10-bolts. Sorry for the error, y’all. I guess I didn’t want to believe the military was silly enough to order trucks that way!
