New slicks will make times even better.

New best time is 12.60 with 0,5 bar turbopressure! Last race on raadi i made 13,3 at 1,0 bar!

Today night i will change the wastegates and hopefully i can go on with 1,2 bar

Does anybody know if timingequipment will be there?

Depends. An AH made donuts on the cable on the last event at Haapsalu and we are working hard to fix the cable. It's a PITA job, but we hope to get the cable fixed for the Raadi event.

kõik jutud kokku suurusjärgus 1.5 km pluss meeletud töötunnid.

konkreetselt pole meile halli hiire kottigi hüvitatud; ainus variant, millega tüübid eesotsas Aareloga (kelle tuttav too 2. gen oli) nõustusid, et lapime kaabli ära ja siis esitame arve neile. Üldiselt selle kaabli lappimine on üks väga suur isase lehma kaka (loe: bullshit)

Ehh, tule täna õhtul läbi siis saad ehk aru. Arvesta sellega, et kaabel vaja ju laiali laotada ning üle käia, mis tähendab 2x402+ meetrit kaablit, mitu korda edasi tagasi jalutamist (päris mitu kilomeetrit kõndimist tuleb kokku ;)) ning kaabli kerimist rullile/rullilt maha.

Kui te seda Haapsalus teete, siis vabalt võin tulla ja jalutada. Tallinnas olen ma see nädal juba 3 korda käinud, kõik korrad on planeeritud tund-sinna-pool-kohapeal-tund-tagasi asemel 7-8 tunnisteks üritusteks kujunenud. Rohkem see nädal pealinna omale lubada ei saa, muidu tulevad tööandjad reproduktiivorganite kallale :)

Here is something I planned to write to Partels safety subject.

As you propably know, we have pretty strict safety rules in our races and also strict rules on how to behave during the race.

Safety is something that should not be taken lightly, especially the safety of the spectators. In our races there must be an ambulance and some fire extuingishers etc in the race area. At least there should be equipment to pu out a fire, someone able to give first aid and ready plans on how to take the injured in to the hospital.

Safety is always a matter for preparing for the worst. A car running 150 km/t doesn't stop within a couple of meters if something goes wrong, therefore the safety areas along the track in our races are pretty big: http://www.riversidecruisers.fi/rakennep1.gif

Here are some other things worth considering.

Every car should be inspected before it gets the number, mainly that the brake pedal is hard and that the steering seems to work. Also should check the seat belts and the drivers helmet. There should also be a catch can for the water out of the radiator, so that in an overheating situation you don't have to get a break to dry the track. All the water,fuel and oil hoses should be meant for their purpose and secured by hose clamps. The interior and trunk of the car should be empty about all the extra stuff and all the equipment in the car must be solidly attached (for example battery:)). I think these are minimum requirements and would not cost much to the racers. We have a lot more requirements and I have easily 40 000 EEK worth of safety equipment required by the rules here, but I think this would be a good start. One thing to consider that would be inexpensive would be a driveshaft loop in RWD cars with DOT slicks or other race tires. Also an electric cut off switch on the outside isn't a bad idea. Next would be transmission explotion shield; I have seen it happen and it's like a grenade. When the cars get quicker and faster it's time to consider roll bars, roll cages, better seat belts etc. etc. NHRA has a good rule book about the requirements.

Then there is the way how the race is handled. In the pit and on the return road there is 20 km/h speed limit. No testing, no burnouts there; if you break any of these you are out of the race. Burnouts are only done in the burnout area with starters permission When the car runs at the pits there must always be a driver in the drivers seat. Here we even have to raise the rear of the car in to the air if it's adjusted and run at the pits.

The starter or his helpers are the kings of the race (and of course the race leader), the cars are arranged according to their instructions to the line up, especially in the eliminators. If yuo do not hear them or went to get some food etc.; bad for you. The pit area is usually open, but in the line up burnout & launch area there may not be any other than the driver and two members of the crew. Once the car is out of the pits in the line up you stay with the car unless the starter crew tells you otherwise. It's not a parking lot and the line up must be able to feed the track without delays whenever the track is ready. A good rule is that when the starter shows the pair to stage and the first one stages, the other car has 20 seconds to get staged on the line. If it doesn't, he's out. Usually here the previous cars have to had turned off the track to the return road before the next pair gets a permission to start their burnout. During the run, the driver wears the helmet, seat belts, convertible cars ahve the top up if possible andall the windows are closed.

Here are just some thoughts that should help the safety situation and the flexibilty the race flows.

PS I haven't had much time to give this sublect a lot of thought because of hurry in the work, but I hope you can get something out of this. A couple of things I'd like to add Whenever the race is not going keep the track closed. The seremonies, winners circle etc. should be held at the burnout area and the track kept close; if someone wants to smoke his tires he can do it there, not at the track or at the pits. Make up your own simple rules first and print them on paper and take care that every racer gets and reads and obays the rules.

See on küll väga õige! Eelmisest korrast on väga hästi meeles kuidas Ain Miller ülemeelitses, hoolimata soomlasest kohtuniku keelamisest. Tõmmelda võiks tõesti mujal, pitis on palju inimesi ja autosid, pole ju migit jama vaja ja ka parimatel võib juhtuda, kahjuks...

Kes see seal räägib ülemeelitsemisest kolm nädalat hiljem.Kas purjus soome kohtunikule,kelle käe pikenduseks oli tihti õllepudel, ei tohi öelda,et starti sõites ei vaja kahe ja kolme liitrised autod veeloiku teele.Pean silmas seda,et möödasõit veeloigust oli võimatu,kuna see oli stardile väga lähedal(veeloik oleks võinud olla 4 m. tagapool).Tegingi Mellile ettepaneku selleks korraks ajasõidud panna toimima klasside kaupa.Ilmselt väiksemates klassides burnout ei ole just kõige vajalikum toiming,suurtes klassides ehitatagu kas või bassein maha.Soni maha muidugi põtrade ees,et nad nii kaugele ennast näitama tulevad,aga õline olek nii vastutusrikka koha peal ametis olles ei ole eriti sünnis.Aru ta igal juhul ei saanud,mida ma talt korda kolm,palusin.Mina seda sommi isiklikult ei tunne,polnud ka mingit alust pidada teda enamaks tavaturistist.Nii,et kui kellegi frendi solvasin,siis....ups.

Ainil veeloigu koha pealt õigus; sellest peab saama mööda sõita. Aga klass ei ole oluline, vaid kumm. "Vihmakumme" pole vaja kuumutada vastandina slikkidele.

Klasside kaupa sõitmise varjukülg on ka see, et vähemalt suures klassis vajavad nii mootor kui pidurid jahtumist ning võib olla vajalikud ka väiksed seadistused. Viimane kord igatahes olid mul pidurid sisse kärsanud juba teises sõidus, rääkimata turbo-Hornetist, kel vaja intercooleri jahutusvesi vahetada ja eelmise sõidu datat uurida + seadistada + pidurvari kokku pakkida jne.

Ilmselt meie klassides ei ole eriti kellelgi kuumutamist vajavaid kumme,korraks sutsti puhastamist ja asi ühel pool.selleks ei vaja ju palju ruumi.Aga varjukülgedest klassidesse jagamisel kahjuks ei teadnud.Nii,et sorri.Sabas venides saab teha umbes ühe sõidu kahe tunni kohta,pole mõtet ennast ju ära kurnata,parem pikutaks niikaua.

Täitsa lahe üritus oli. Sujus palju ladusamalt, kui eelmine kord. Ja mis peamine, stardipuu töötas :). Aga ikka jäi pikk vahe ajasõitude ja võistluse vahele. Vahepeal mõned asjahuvilised vist väljaspool võistlust rajale lasti, kuid vähevõitu oli neid. Stardist ~200m ja kaugemale ei kostnud kommentaatorit üldse, võibolla tegu tuulega, kuna eelmine kord ei old probleeme peaaegu raja lõpus istuda ja kuulata.

Sad that the end speed meter didnt work, but anyway big thanks to all people that have made this event possible.

Keep on the good work guys.

Even though i had to make my car less powerful (i took down the turbopressure from 1,2 to 0,7 in the finals) and still spinning, i am still quiet happy with times. Hopefully i am learning something and i have better tires during nightrace. Manually shifted strong turbocars are not easy to be friends with, they say.

Üritus sujus hästi jah - nüüd veel natuke reklaami asjale, et rohkem osavõtjaid saada. Ilmselt oleks mingi hetk otstarbekas kaaluda Streetman klassi sisseviimist analoogselt Soomele - maksad iga stardi eest mingi raha (50 eeku ?) ja saad oma autot proovida, timeslipi ning soovi korral sõbraga joonele panna. Selles klassis eliminaatorit pole ja seega pole ka võitjaid ja auhindu.

Viimane võistlus paistis silma oma heade aegade poolest, kaks autot said aja alla 11 sek, Kari 11,71 ja Lauri 11,8x.
